IKEA opens a new point of contact in the Zenia Boulevard Shopping Centre

IKEA continues to advance in its omnichannel expansion plan and its commitment to the Alicante market with a new point of contact with the customer. In this case, it is an order delivery point, opened in the Zenia Boulevard shopping centre and operational since last week.

Specifically, visitors can pick up orders previously placed through the company’s online shopping, telephone shopping service or in any physical shop, including the IKEA Diseña design and planning space, located just a 5-minute walk away in the same shopping centre.

IKEA has also envisioned a multi-channel, interactive shopping experience that provides consumers with greater agility and time savings. Thus, if the purchase is made in the aforementioned design and planning space, where expert staff provide advice and guidance in the design and purchase of articles, and where there are also articles and exhibition spaces, the customer can scan the products they want from the household and bedding assortment directly with the IKEA mobile application, add them to the “shopping cart” and choose the “scan and pay without queuing” option. With the generated QR code you can pay at the checkout of this same IKEA Design and with the purchase receipt, go to the new delivery point to pick them up. For the rest of the products the estimated delivery time is 48 hours.

Ainhoa Echávarri, Market Manager at IKEA Murcia, wanted to highlight the good experience lived this time in the shopping centre and the sense of this new centre: “Our experience this time in Zenia Boulevard, with the launch a year and a half ago of our IKEA Diseña, has been so positive that we are now launching with the opening of a second point of contact, designed to complete a more accessible, agile and fluid shopping experience. We are confident that this new delivery point will also be very well received.

IKEA continues to bring design and inspiration to the people of Orihuela Costa, Torrevieja and the province of Alicante, being even more accessible and closer to the people of Orihuela Costa, Torrevieja and the province of Alicante.

Almost eight decades ago, in 1943, IKEA was born in Sweden. And 25 years ago we landed in Spain. Since then, our mission has been to create a better everyday life for the majority of people with a concept that has changed homes forever: “democratic design”. That is to say, that everyone can have access to functional, design, sustainable, quality products at an affordable price. This is our commitment.
